As part of our growing team, we are looking for a Marketing Automation Platform Specialist.

The ideal candidate for this role has solid technical capabilities and the talent to leverage leading marketing automation platforms to quickly generate value for customers. The right person enjoys the challenge of solving (at times) complex issues within a modern marketing technology stack. In addition, this person will be focused on helping customers get the most out of their technology investments by understanding needs and plans and proactively suggest new methods and ideas.

Client Facing Responsibilities

  • Totally own the Marketing Automation Platforms for assigned customers and work to accelerate client performance in all key metrics by being an expert on this technology
  • Development ongoing knowledge of the customer’s business, competitive landscape, solutions, and how they are different: intelligence that is then used to craft campaigns and coordinate with internal teams
  • Be the hands on execution of customer campaigns within the marketing automation system, website and supporting platforms
    Produce monthly reports, data extracts, analysis, and insights based on the customer’s performance such as (open rates, engagement, revenue attribution, lifecycle management, form views, conversion rates, etc.)
  • Analyze website traffic, debug front-end issues, and point out areas of improvement for any issues such as crawling errors, layout, usability, behavior flows
    Be an expert and manage the marketing automation technology such as forms, lists, emails, landing pages, tracking codes, programs, reporting
    Come up with innovative way to ‘stretch’ the platforms to achieve unique customer advantages in how their campaigns are performing such as data architecture, personalization, maintenance plans, progressive profiling, form capture points, media tracking, advanced landing pages, and scoring
  • HTML content updates to websites, mobile site, blog and social pages
  • Project manage aspects of the monthly plans: website designs, site migrations, mini projects, and Statement of Works (SOWs)
  • Action ad-hoc requests for creative, development, or marketing tasks for clients with annual support agreements
  • Coordinate with development teams and other teams (social media, copywriting, etc.) to manage client deliverables; assign this work utilizing internal ticket system and project management tools
  • Where required, setup, maintain, and report using digital marketing tools:
    • Email Software, SEO monitoring, Google PPC, Marketing Automation (Act-On), WordPress, Hootsuite, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and other tools used by the company

  • Build templates for new ways of doing things that can be adopted by all team members
  • Achieve Certifications as required by job position (Google Adwords, Google Analytics, Act-On Software, Salesforce Pardot, Marketo, HubSpot etc.)

Skills

  • Must have strong technical skills and maintain those skills over time
  • Ability to debug front-end website code (Java Script, PHP, CSS)
  • Database and data architecture
  • Strong skills in problem solving, and analysis
  • Strong skills HTML web design, WordPress or similar blog software
  • Must have above average skills with MS Office, HTML, CSS and Adobe Creative Suite, GoToMeeting, Email marketing
  • Must have strong communication ability (verbal and written)
  • Must have strong marketing instinct and creative energy

  • Must be organized to prioritize multiple tasks

  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, results-oriented team environment
  • Knowledge of SEO and SEM principles and current practices, social media and blogging platforms such as WordPress, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, Online Press Release services and tools

Education and Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing in a marketing department or an ad agency required or specialized post-secondary graduate
  • Post-Secondary education in writing, marketing/advertising, communications, digital media or related field are desirable
  • A positive attitude, confident, and passionate about writing great content
  • Google Analytics Certification is a plus
  • Hootsuite or other Social Media Certification is a plus
  • Act-On Software, Salesforce Pardot, HubSpot, or Marketo Marketing Automation Experience and Certification is a plus
